The Emerald

The Emerald offers private pay and publicly funded assisted living suites. Residents in the independent living area of the village can move easily to assisted living when their care needs increase.

Private Pay Suites

The Emerald offers 56 private pay suites.  Prospective residents must apply to Elim Housing to rent an assisted living unit. Elim’s professional care team makes an assessment, since specific criteria must be met to qualify.

Type of suites:	one bedroom rental two bedroom rental
Square feet range:	454 – 758 sq. ft.
Price range:	approximately $2,990– 3,470 per month (add $815 for an extra person) This price includes rent, basic services, maintenance and legacy fund contribution
Features:	large windows 4 appliances, including washer and dryer 9-foot ceilings large, wheelchair accessible washrooms
Amenities:	computer lab fireside lounges multipurpose room country kitchen theater billiard room
Basic Services:	Everyone receives these services and are included in the monthly fee meals (lunch and supper) nutritious snacks (morning and afternoon) Housekeeping/laundry (½ hour per week) Social, recreational and wellness programs Pastoral care 24-hour emergency call service
Additional Services:	There is an additional fee for these services, based on type of service and frequency. Personal care Escort or mobility assistance Tray service when needed Night time monitoring Medication monitoring Palliative, convalescent, transitional situations

Funded Suites

The Emerald has 53 suites funded by the Fraser Health Authority. Current Elim residents or prospective residents must apply for a funded suite through the Fraser Health Authority, who will determine fees based on a person’s income.
